Cafe Life Force

So how was your Golden Week? Mine was fantastic! I didn't do anything special. I didn't go anywhere unusual. I didn't go into Tokyo. I didn't go shopping. In fact, the furthest I got away from Kamakura was the "Lumine" in Yokohama station, where I had some nice Spanish food with my friend, Stuart. (I also went out to lunch with another friend Saturday - in Fujisawa, and to a great Mexican restaurant in Yokosuka on Monday night... so I guess I did a lot of good eating! ; ) But the main point is that I had a good holiday just hanging around my neighborhood and spending time with my friends and family. When we went back to school on Wednesday I actually felt like I had had a good rest!

Anyway, I wanted to tell you about this nice cafe I've discovered recently. It's called "Cafe Life Force", and they serve really delicious, fresh, healthy food. They specialize in Macrobiotic cooking. Macrobiotic cooking focuses on whole grains - like brown rice. Miso and tofu are also main ingredients. Lot's of fresh vegetables, too. The cook at the cafe is really creative, and the meals are not only delicious, but beautifully presented. I always feel really healthy and energised after I eat there. Next time you're hungry in Kamakura, why don't you give it a try? Here's the address:

2-5-19 Yuigahama, Kamakura. It's near the statues of the "Six Jizo."

I'm too late to comment to this article, but I'm really interested to the restaurant!! I like healthy food very much, and also Kamakura is one of my favorite places.
By summer, I want to go there!!(because during summer, maybe I can't eat too much, it means "natsubate" in Japanese...)
Thank you for your information for us.

You have many information about restaurant, don't you?
I've lived in Yokohama for a year, but I don't know many restaurants or shops because I am not the outdoor type.
I will try to go to many places and find special restaurants!!

How did you discover a good restaurant? By word of mouth? Anyway, as I grow older I tend to have macrobiotic foods. They say unpolished rice is healthy, but I don't like it.

I'm glad to hear that you had a nice relaxing time! We tend to go out during holiday, but that makes us even more tired, sometimes.

As i live alone, i'm really anxious about my health! I think I need to go there!
